Sama Carley moved from the Middle East to the United States with her family at a young age. After a lifelong passion for medicine, she pursued her dream first at the University of Alabama earning her MD. From there, she went on to the University of California, Irvine for her specialty training in Dermatology. Following her residency, she pursued a competitive fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology. She now practices in San Diego and lives there with her husband and child. She first discovered the zero-waste community in 2018 and has sought to live a more sustainable life that reduces harm to our ecosystem since then.
